Sharon Roggenbuck

Sharon was born October 20, 1938 in Peoria, IL. A good share of her youth in Peoria was spent looking after and riding horses. She attended college at Bradley University for one year and then began Dental Hygiene curriculum at Marquette University which she attended for a year and half. She left school to go with her husband to Maryland where the first of four children was born. The next ten years she focused on raising a family. She returned to school at Grand Rapids Community College where she completed her Dental Hygiene degree. She attended Western Michigan University where she received a BS degree in Health Science. Ten years of work in this field followed. At age 40, Sharon became a more active athlete, competing in running races, duathlons and triathlons, as well as two-day cycle rides raising funds for MS-related research. Sharon expects to aspire to inspire before she expires.
